The Story

Kitsch is discovered by the way things affect you rather than by any sort of defined rules.Kitsch comes from the German Kitschen (1860), orginally meaning- to cheapen or to make do. It has evolved to mean to produce trash, to use or manipulate art in the manufacture of articles for mass consumption.Made for the degree show at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in 1996. Winner of Tartan Oscar Award at Reel to Reel video festival,Glasgow, 1997.
